From 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. tomorrow (Saturday, Dec. 18), officers from the Houston Police Department¡¯s Police and Clergy Team (P.A.C.T.), along with members of the City of Houston Mayor¡¯s Citizen¡¯s Assistance Office and many community partners will come together to provide Christmas to hundreds of Houston children in need.
The event will be held at the PlazAmericas (formerly Sharpstown Mall) at 7500 Bellaire Boulevard .
The partnership will help provide more than 500 children with two to three gifts, a hot lunch and a picture with Santa. A fashion show and choir music will also be offered as entertainment. The children were identified by church, school and social workers as the neediest in their community.
HPD and the City of Houston are partnering with PlazAmericas and Project LIFT to offer the Christmas holiday outreach event.
